About Jessica
Hi students. My name is Jessica, but you can call me Jess. I graduated with Cum Laude honors from The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. I recognized as a student that my passion was in biological sciences. In particular, microbiology. After receiving my degree, I began my career. I started with histology, and eventually shifted my career to microbiology. I have over 6 years of professional experience working in microbiology. I have worked in the clinical side of micro, as well as biotech. My specialities shine in identifying organisms, gram staining, reading cultures, performing spot tests, using reagents, quantifying bacteria, and more. I would love to share the knowledge I have in microbiology, both in education and in the work force. It is my goal to prepare students for life after their degree, and assist with their studies along the way.

Hello future students! As a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, I understand the challenges, stressors, and demands of being a student in the sciences. Sometimes, lectures can be overwhelming. This is especially true in universities with large class sizes. It’s tough to find that one on one time with professors, especially with limited office hours. With a degree in Biology and 6 years experience in the field of microbiology, I am excited to use my free time to help students who are struggling (or may just need more one on one time!). I am able to tutor on biology and microbiology course work. I have opening hours Monday-Friday from 6pm-9pm. I am also available on weekends and am flexible with times.
