About Dobuol

I’m an easy person to get along with—tough when needed—and I’ll work with you to find the missing molecules. As a first-generation immigrant who’s traveled widely and earned a chemistry degree, I know what it’s like to feel behind. Sometimes, all it takes is a different perspective to make the difference. Funny story—I moved to the U.S. at a young age, around 6th grade, and during my junior high years, I felt incredibly self-conscious. While I excelled in math and science, I was clearly behind in language arts—especially reading. For a while, I thought all the English-speaking kids were just smarter than me. That changed in 9th grade when I was placed in a Spanish class alongside many of the school's top students. For once, we were all beginners—and I outperformed most of them. That’s when I realized: the issue had never been intelligence, just a language barrier. From then on, I worked harder, read more, and eventually earned a place at one of the most prestigious private institutions, where I even worked as a teacher’s assistant. Now, I work part-time with Indiana University (remotely), and I’m passionate about supporting students who haven’t yet realized their potential—so they can move through their academic journey with confidence, not fear.
