Hello! I’m a certified Mandarin teacher with a Master’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Shanghai University. I have a deep love for Chinese culture, literature, and philosophy, and I truly enjoy sharing this passion with others. Teaching allows me to connect with people from different backgrounds and help them explore the beauty of the Chinese language. Whether you’re learning for school, work, or personal interest, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Perfect! Your teaching methods are very beginner friendly. I began with very little knowledge of Chinese sentence structure and tone pronouncation. In a short peroid of time, I have developed my knowledge of verbs and basic sentences. The consistent homework allows me to catch up/ reinforce any concepts learnt throughout the pervious lesson. Through the usage of voicenotes my pronouncation continues to improve. I aim to become a competent Chinese speaker and through your lessons I believe I will achieve that.

Even though we haven't had many classes, you've learned a lot because you focus in class and do your homework. Your grammar and sentence structure are especially good. Going forward, let's focus more on speaking — pronunciation, rhythm, and also learn more about Chinese culture so you can talk with native speakers more easily

Perfect! Leon is a very patient and excellent teacher. If he notices I’m struggling with a sound, he always finds a clear example of a word that uses it, which makes it much easier to understand and remember.
