About Nikki

As an experienced tutor, learning support assistant, and homeschooling teacher, I've worked extensively with all ages from primary school up through postgraduate studies. My experience comprises work both in schools and out, and I specialize in delivering individualized learning across a range of different settings. What's more, having worked as an SEN teaching assistant for years, I also pride myself on being very well-versed in special needs and best practice in supporting them. This is also helped in large part by my relevant education and academic background as a 1st class psychology graduate and current PhD student investigating neurocognitive development. In other words, I am personally, academically, and professionally well-versed in the many different ways in which we learn, and pride myself on my thoroughly engaging and consistently responsive approach!

About the lesson

I don't believe that any topic or subject is 'off-limits' for anyone; I think it comes down to how one is taught and especially, the level of attention paid to their individual needs along the way. I make it my goal to understand my students as I'd like to be understood - holistically, not only in terms of academic ability. I'm a firm believer that people rise or fall to our expectations of them, so every student of mine is empowered to be their very best with my consistent support.
