About Ben

I first started teaching when I was at college, and I taught voluntarily at the local secondary school. Upon finishing college I moved to Austria where I taught English and primary school. It was while there that I began tutoring based on my strong written and verbal English. Initially I was helping students plan, structure, write, and proofread essays in subjects from history to psychology. Over the last 4 years, due to my consistently exceptional grades, and strong methodology with regards to the learning and essay writing process, I began teaching other students in both the years below me and in my year. Following graduating from Queen Mary: University of London with my 1st last July I have continued teaching A-level and degree level students and am now looking for more students to help guide towards their goals.

About the lesson

Excellent at making complex theories and concepts easy to understand. Can help in all processes surrounding degree and A-level work, including reading, planning, writing and proofreading. I have access to various online databases to help find sources for students.
I have a track record of success in helping struggling students achieve top grades, including students who went from fails & 3rds to 1sts and 2-1s. I am willing to teach remotely using screen sharing, video, and exchange of documents, or in person in London. Lesson length and frequency can be by the desire of the student, depending on needs, as I have worked with individuals of varying needs and capabilities.
I achieved a high 1st in my Politics and International Relations degree, and my professional background is in teaching with 7 years of experience. I am capable of teaching Politics, IR, and History, and have a great general knowledge of current affairs and issues. My speciality was in Environmental Politics, Political theory, and Security.
