About Izzie

Hi I’m Izzie! I achieved a First in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2024, where I ranked in the top 10% of my cohort. I have since completed a master’s degree in Biotechnology at Columbia University in NYC. I received 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology A Level, and university offers from University of Cambridge, Durham, UCL, Bath, and Edinburgh. I started tutoring when I was doing my A-Levels and I am very passionate about helping students find enjoyment in learning, especially the subjects they struggle with. I have a wide range of teaching experience, from several years of experience tutoring students at 11+, as well as A Level and GCSE level tutoring in Maths and Biology for students at top schools.

About the lesson

I am really enthusiastic about Biology and Maths and I would love the opportunity to help other students develop their skills in these subjects too. I can tailor lessons to suit your needs, including past paper practice, focusing on weaker topics, and helping with schoolwork. A standard lesson would be 30mins - 1hr, including a topic intro and then some exam-style or past paper questions. For 11+ tutoring, I can help with Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, or English. I am very friendly and approachable and love working with children. I currently tutor students at 11+ already and this past year I volunteered as a teaching assistant running a STEM after-school activity club for year 5 and 6 students.
