About Cassandra

Dear futures students,
My name is Cassandra and I would like to become your future French tutor.
As a Canadian with Haitians parents, I grew up in a trilingual environment (French, English and Creole). I have a passion for languages ; last summer, I started an online course called Teaching English as a second or Foreign Language in order to improve my tutoring skills and this course helped me to learn Spanish and Arabic by myself.
Since the beggining of my studies, I had the opportunity to acquiere experience related to tutoring. During my first internship, I helped new immigrants to learn French. Also, in Peru, I gave English and French classes in order to increase their languages habilities.
Thank you so much for your time and see you soon :D **PS: For the moment, I’m not living in UK, I will move in June so it’s better online for the moment, and this summer I can teach you online or in person :) **

About the lesson

Bonjour tout le monde ! How are you ? My name is Cassandra, I’m a French Canadian. I’m traveling a lot, so I decided to learn 4 languages by myself. Being polyglot was the best gift I gave to myself because I’m passionate about international interaction and being polyglot gave me the opportunity to talk with a wide variety of people with different backgrounds and culture.
As a French tutor, one of the most important things is to help you to develop positive attitude and mindset about French language and I’m here to help you to increase your French skills while share with you all information about the language and the culture.
It will be a pleasure for me to help you to improve your French according to your level and to your different projects. I’m extremely open-mind and I’m interested to talk about all kind of subjects/topics; I aim to give you creative and fun lessons!
Through the years I have developed various and diversified teaching method.
For example…
- I will build our lessons around your needs
- I will encourage your conversational skills ; we can Skype every week
- You’ll have monthly assessment to analyze your progression , strengths and weakness
- I motivate you and make sure you sound like a native speaker
- I will evaluate your learning capabilities and needs and I will suggest you new learning techniques appropriate for you
- I can give you self-created lessons involving reading, grammar, comprehension and create special documents for you and I’ll provide you explanation after each lessons
- I will provide you useful tools and documents such as videos, songs, games, texts, etc. according to your interests

I’m starting a new job in a few weeks and needed to learn French FAST. Cassandra not only taught me what I needed to know, she actually got me excited to learn French! In the past, tutors and French teachers have overwhelmed me with too much information and too much theory, but what I loved about working with Cassandra is that she didn’t teach me anything I didn’t need and she is VERY helpful. Cassandra is extremely patient, thoughtful tutor. When I had difficulty with French, she found ways to help me learn in my own way. She was great at explaining everything , and tutoring sessions weren’t boring at all. Also, she is always on time and very flexible. Cassandra, I can’t thank you enough for giving me the confidence to start my new job on solid ground. :) Cassandra made an excellent tutor and anyone would be lucky to have her. Highly recommended.
