About Rangarirai

I have been coaching chess for the past 10yrs. I played at the chess Olympiad in 2002 where I represented my country. I started to play when I was 10. I was Watford chess club champion in 2019. I worked at Edgware chess gambits for the last 4 years where I worked with IM da Costa and CM Tomer Eden, where I gained a lot of experience. I still compete and aim to be a master soon. I also took a FIDE trainer course and am certified. My rating is ECF 2104. My plan is to get to 2200 and become a master. I also play for Alwoodley chess club and I am their top player.

About the lesson

I teach all levels depending on the level of my student. After going through their games, I will choose what is suitable and compatible with the style of chess of my student. My classes are between an hour to 90 minutes depending on the student. We cover all aspects of chess from opening to middle game and endgame. I also give homework so we can work on a structured plan. I also focus mainly on their weaknesses.

Rangarirai is a great tutor! He gave me personalized online lessons for months and my chess knowledge increased rapidly. When he started helping me with my chess I was struggling to reach the rating of 1800 on chess.com but after his help, within a month I gained over 200 rating points. And I was now able to win a number of games against titled players. He is so passionate about the game of chess such that when he explains ideas everything becomes easy and interesting to learn.
