About Nir
I am a teacher by trade, and I have been teaching since 2007. I began teaching in Jerusalem for three years and then moved to Los Angeles, where I now teach and mentor immigrants and English learners just like you. It really motivates me to meet people who have goals in mind, and I always try to fulfill my duty to you, the student.
Some of my hobbies include photography, hiking, traveling and water sports. I love macro photography, especially photographing flowers and other objects.

I make the content about your life and professional experience.
I use an effective blend of repetition of new language content and intonation. You will always be involved in the lesson.
I place myself in your shoes as the student. I speak slowly when it is necessary and I more quickly when you need to be challenged.
My lessons specialize in three main areas depending on your needs:
-survival skills (vocabulary, basic grammar, and basic writing and reading for everyday life)
-test preparation (TOEFL, IELTS)
-advanced vocabulary and/or pronunciation through videos and/or other English language media.
I can speak to you over the phone to determine your level of proficiency. I do NOT offer a free first hour.
