About Matilde
Hello! I am a current LLB student at UCL, having already completed a Bachelor of Arts at the Paris Institute of Political Science, where I specialised in Comparative Politics. I chose to study Law, in the end, because I think it truly is an amalgamation of the subjects I love most: literature, economics, and history.
Although I eventually passed through both GCSE and IB with high grades (all A*'s at GCSE, and a 41 at IB), I nevertheless experienced my own healthy share of academic failures. Thus, I believe I can not only help students with the nitty gritty of essay-writing and exam preparation, but also provide them with personal guidance as they complete their GCSE's and IB exams.

I will structure each session by tailoring it to the student's needs. I have each course's syllabus and textbook, which I will use to come up with possible exam questions to test the student with. At the end of each session, I will review what we have learnt or practiced with the student, as well as create a to-do list for both the student and myself, which will help in creating an outline for the next session.
I think every week needs to have something new to add to the student's knowledge or journey as they prepare for their exams: although constant past papers and mock essays are a surefire way of exam preparation, I believe the student's complete understanding of what the syllabus is asking of them to be much more important than their essay-writing skills. They should understand the in's and out's of the grading criteria, and understand the content they are studying before they ever put pen to paper.
My sessions will initially cover the syllabus and the relevant grading rubrics, and then will pass on to patching up any gaps in the student's knowledge or understanding of the content itself, before then delving straight into exam preparation and essay-writing/oral exams.
