I love to work with students of all ages to help them see the beauty of how biology concepts are grounded in the world around them--even if they seem like they don't matter. I like to connect the student's current knowledge and understanding of the world to the concepts presented in the textbooks and lessons.

I teach using visual aids and models that incorporate memorization of a term with an object or picture, which engages the learner and helps them recall the information for tests. I also like the student to assemble their own knowledge through guided inquiry, rather than simply lecturing or presenting the material.
