For young learners, reading skills are critical. To teach these, I use: - Prediction: read the title and predict what the comprehension could be about - Activate prior knowledge on the reading topic - Engage the learner to visualize what they are reading to improve understanding - Ask questions along the reading process to gauge understanding - Allow the learner to retell the story to improve their vocabulary Writing and speaking will be generated alongside reading skills.
