About Jack
Over 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Language Education shape my teaching. My lessons focus on French literature and academic analysis. I prepare students for university-level challenges in reading and writing. Lessons begin with structured textual analysis. Students learn to identify themes and literary traditions. We also engage with philosophical and critical theory. Writing assignments form a central part of my teaching. Essays are developed with careful attention to argument and research. I guide students in building analytical skills that last beyond exams. Each lesson fosters intellectual confidence and depth. My teaching style is rigorous but motivating. Students emerge with the ability to think critically in French. My goal is to help you find mastery in both the language and the ideas it carries.

I teach French with the goal of preparing learners for both fluency and academic success. My method combines structured review with focused practice, ensuring clarity and confidence. We cover university-related topics such as course registration, grading systems, and student services. Lessons also train learners in academic writing, note-taking, and communication with professors. Heritage learners build on their foundation to excel in advanced contexts. Travelers develop the language skills needed to adapt quickly to campus life. I use role-plays and practical exercises that mirror real experiences, from joining study groups to attending lectures. Authentic materials bring lessons closer to reality. Mistakes are part of growth, so I encourage learners to practice openly. Each session has a clear goal, but also flexibility for individual needs. I believe learning is strongest when linked to real challenges. My aim is to help every student thrive in France academically and personally.
