About Cailen
With over three years of experience in private tutoring, adult education, and teaching English as a second language, I bring both versatility and dedication to my teaching. I consistently performed at the top of my class—scoring in the 95th percentile on the Provincial Literacy Assessment in high school, excelling in university with results 25% above average in UBC’s introductory writing course, and earning a 91% in ENGL 200. But for me, education is about more than just high marks. I believe the best learning is transformational, not transactional. That’s why my approach is both results-driven and deeply holistic—focused not only on helping students achieve academic success, but also on building their confidence, critical thinking, and long-term growth.
