About Ryan
I am a researcher and writer on the topic of philosophy of existentialism, the environment, and society. I believe there is a confident writer and speaker in everybody, and want to help draw that out from my students. I am attentive and will follow my students' needs, and will tailor a personal lesson plan to help you succeed. Growing up and getting through school is scary and intimidating. I want to help you go into it prepared and ambitious.

I take a demonstrative and attentive learning style. My teaching style focuses on showing my students the basics of what they need, and then helping them make their own style of doing those things. Traditional teaching tends to stuff a rhythmic, strict idea of what *needs* to be done. However, that style can be unapproachable or unrealistic for most students. I aim to help recontextualize the material for growth, learning, and problem solving. My goal is to make sure all of my students come away with actual tools they can use, rather than some memorized method. I'm well suited for elementary schoolers, middle schoolers, high schoolers (particularly those who need resume and application essay help), and university students trying to get through their writing requirement class. I am flexible and attentive, and know what it's like to feel like you're being forced to do something you don't want to do. I understand that students get discouraged by the amorphous enormity of what their goals may look like. I understand that mental illness and neurodivergence more often than not may be an obstacle. I have struggled with all of these things, and want to help you have an easier time than I did.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
Ryan is a thoughtful and patient teacher. Though she does make some really corny jokes, I've never learned how to deliver a speech or make a resume faster. Ryan is a fast worker, and is transparent and never condescending, which I really appreciated as someone who doesn't do a lot of writing
