About Riley
I have a Cambridge Advanced Exam Certificate for English.
Although English is not my first language, I do use it as my main language since I have been an emigrant for all the recent years of my life. Since 2018 I have lived in York in the UK, in South Korea and now in Italy.
I have also been a tutor for different subjects since my high school years, so for over 10 years now. I am especially passionate about making learning an interesting and engaging experience for all my students and that is why all my classes are highly personalized and dynamic. We won't focus on memorizing long lists of vocabulary or grammar rules: instead we will understand and internalize the practical and real use of English.

I provide 3 different options for classes aimed at different types of tutee.
- Personalized classes aimed at improving general English level:
• on our first lesson you'll fill out my prepared quiz to understand some of your personal interests and current English level to then personalize the next classes
• each class will include exercises that touch on all 4 aspects of learning a language
• we start each class with a listening comprehension exercise, watching a video chosen based on your individual interests - this personalization aspect increases the interest and attention capacity in the classes when compared to regular group classes from schools
• we then follow up with reading, writing and speaking exercises that all follow the theme of the video and focus on different grammar and vocabulary points for each class
• depending on your investment in learning English, we will adapt the number of lessons per week and the amount of homework that fits your lifestyle
• this category of class is ideal for any age group or English level, since it is so adaptable and personalized to each student's needs

- Exam/test preparation:
• set of classes that are focused on preparation for a specific exam or test
• extra exercises and model tests based on your specific needs
• clarification of doubts you might bring from regular English classes
