About Paula

I have a passion for languages, literature and cultures, which goes very well with foreign language classes! Because of this, I started learning English at the age of 14 and went on an exchange program to Australia at the age of 17, returning home with a C1 level certificate of fluency in English. The following year, I enrolled in the Anthropology course at UFPel, but it didn't work out, so I switched to Languages and Literature, where I finally found myself among my own people. During my time there, I had the opportunity to teach English in a languages course, in a college preparatory course and also as a tutor, working with children, teenagers and adults.
Now I'm here! I'm ready for new teaching experiences. What about you, are you ready for new learning experiences?

About the lesson

In the first class I conduct an interview to get to know the student and their learning needs better and I conduct a placement test to be able to correctly adapt the classes to their skill level.

From then on, each class is unique! I use videos, music, texts, games and other resources to diversify and make the student's learning more dynamic. Grammar is studied in a contextualized way, vocabulary is reinforced with games and everything goes at the student's own pace.

Whatever the objective of your studies or the focus of the classes are: traveling, being able to converse with native speakers, understanding movies and TV shows, full fluency, etc., I consider that practice is the most important part of teaching, so I do lots of activities and give lots of homework.
