About Gérard
I am 50 years old and I have an old-fashioned name (Gérard) but I feel young!
I am French.
I have been teaching English for 25 years in France so I know what it is to teach and learn a foreign language. After all these years, I still love it.
I am convinced that you can attend the best lesson in the world, NOTHING will ever replace everyday real practise. That's why I am offering WhatsApp conversations to make students improve more efficiently.
I have three kids aged 11, 15 and 16.
I will come and live for a year near Headford with my family from August 2023. We can't wait!
I fell in love with Ireland when I came in 2019 and have been organizing this family project for more than a year now.
I like sports (football, tennis,...). I love music, I play the guitar and sing (at least I try).
I have run a musical club in my school for 10 years.

Lessons will depend on what you want and what you need so we will agree on the objectives and my job will be to build up activities for you to improve and succeed.
What is essential is PRACTISING:
I can offer:
- online 40-minute lessons for speaking practise. They can go up to one hour if needed.
- everyday conversation (WhatsApp for example) for writing and vocabulary skills. You will get the opportunity to communicate with a real French person speaking real everyday French and who can answer and ask questions related to the topics you want! There will also be the opportunity to share videos!
