Are you ready to discover your voice, build confidence in reading and writing, and reach your academic goals? Many believe English is just “not their subject” or that they aren’t “good at” reading and writing. I know that’s not true. Everyone can improve with the right support, and I have the experience and passion to help you unlock your abilities, overcome challenges, and even enjoy the process. Writing and reading aren’t just academic requirements, they are powerful tools that open doors, shape opportunities, and let you share your ideas with confidence. I earned my MFA in Creative Writing from Mount Saint Mary’s University and my BA in Humanities from SOKA University of America, graduating with honors from both. With over five years of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with students from elementary school through college, and adult learners. I offer one-on-one tutoring and workshops in English composition, creative writing, reading comprehension, and test prep. I’ve helped students write personal statements that gained admission to competitive programs, craft authentic narratives, and build the confidence to succeed academically. Many have earned the grades they needed, passed difficult classes, and achieved goals once thought out of reach. My tutoring style is patient, collaborative, and tailored to you. I believe learning is best when lessons are engaging and relevant. Together, we’ll break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and rebuild them into writing that feels authentic and strong. I use practical exercises, real-world examples, and constructive feedback to help you grow as a student and confident communicator.
