About Joshua
I am a Medical Molecular Biology major who just graduated with a Bachelor's degree. I also minored in psychology, biochemistry, and education meaning that I can help you in a variety of subjects with backing from Oral Roberts University (the university I graduated from). To be honest, I have never formally been a tutor, but I have been the lab assistant for Intro to Bio Research, General Chemistry 1 & 2, Organic Chemistry 1 & 2, and Insect Ecology. To put it simply, my job as a lab assistant was to prepare labs, tutor/assist students, answer questions, and keep the lab stocked/safe.

I can give classes over biology (general or a specific), chemistry (general or organic), and psychology (general, abnormal, cognitive, child, etc.) to students in high school (9th-12th grade) or students in an undergraduate university program. My techniques for teaching will mainly be through Zoom or Microsoft teams depending on the distance. I prefer to give a brief lecture, work through some problems/ask the student questions to view their understanding level, and then have the student ask me questions. Another acceptable approach would be a flipped classroom. The student watches a video, reads a chapter section, does an assignment, etc, and the student's time with me is simply to ask questions and/or reinforce weak points.

Details
The $20/hour is the same for students of all levels/classes/etc. I do charge an additional $0.50/per mile when travelling. I only go 10mi+ under special circumstances. If you buy 5 tutoring hours, you save $10 and if you buy 10 tutoring hours, you save $30. Rates may be negotiated for trades, etc. Please email/text me for details.
