About Shravya
I’m a Biology tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master’s in Biotechnology. My deepest passion lies in marine biology, especially the mysterious ecosystems of the deep sea. I’m fascinated by the life that thrives in darkness, pressure, and cold, far below the ocean’s surface. My work has taken me into the world of hydrothermal vents, where entire communities depend on chemical energy instead of sunlight. I explore how bioluminescent organisms use light to survive, communicate, and hunt in the pitch-black waters. The extreme adaptations found in deep-sea species never fail to amaze me. Through my teaching, I guide students in understanding the biodiversity and ecological processes that shape these hidden habitats. I use visuals, documentaries, and research-based discussions to bring these underwater worlds into the classroom. We look at the challenges of ocean exploration and the technology that makes it possible. I believe the deep sea is one of Earth’s greatest frontiers—rich with discovery and wonder.
