I help students build real confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and thinking critically—especially those who’ve felt unseen because of ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning differences.

About Jason
I’m here to help you feel confident—not just in your reading, writing, or speaking skills, but in yourself. My approach is all about meeting you where you are and making sure you actually feel supported, not judged. We work together as a team to figure out what’s working, what’s not, and how to make learning click in a way that feels real and doable. Whether you’ve always struggled in school or just want to sharpen your skills, you’ll get a tutor who listens, adapts, and believes in your growth every step of the way.

I believe students learn best when they feel safe, heard, and respected. That’s why I always start by getting to know where a student is—through conversation, a quick diagnostic, or just listening carefully. My lessons are customized and flexible, always shaped around the student’s needs. I regularly check in and ask what’s working and what’s not, because I believe learning should feel collaborative—not something done to you.
A typical session starts with a quick review or retrieval practice—something that helps activate memory and deepen understanding. Then I model skills clearly and explicitly using strong examples and non-examples. We work together in a guided way, and then I gradually release the work to the student, giving them tools and confidence to try it on their own. I often use methods backed by real research and experience—like The Writing Revolution approach to writing instruction, which breaks down writing into manageable, logical steps that build real mastery.
What sets me apart is not just my training or strategy—it’s the way I truly try to understand each student and co-create the process with them. I work especially well with students who haven’t always felt seen in traditional classrooms, including those with ADHD, dyslexia, and language-based learning differences. My students range from middle schoolers to college freshmen and sophomores.
