About George M
I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in English. I have also written a collection of short stories titled "Clowns and Buffoons - Short Stories". My professional career has been in finance where I was a financial advisor in Northern California for many years. Recently, I have been writing on (concealed information) on personal finance. I am currently retired. I am also very excited to be able to help young students navigate the English curriculum in their schools. With some helpful hints, I am sure I can show you how simple this subject really is, even though it sometimes requires effort.

English as an academic subject, is about communication. Reading to understand is important. Writing to be understood is also important. With both of these methods, grammar makes it easier to be understood because it is the rules of language use that we all follow.
Need help writing? It is easier than you think. Getting past the block of "What am I going to say?" is something all writers learn to deal with. Then we work on how we are going to say it. A typical lesson for a writing project involves organizing your thoughts and the creating a simple, easy-to-follow structure. I can show you how to do all of this.
Need help with grammar? No problem. If you understand that grammar is simply the commonly understood rule book for how we arrange words to communicate, the particulars of what goes where becomes so much easier.
