About Colette

I have over 11 years of experience teaching French and hold a BA in Art History and French Studies. My expertise is in preparing advanced learners for cross-cultural success. We focus on etiquette, protocol, and the art of formal communication. This is especially valuable for diplomatic and high-level business contexts. I help students develop awareness of subtle non-verbal cues. We also practice adapting speech to different levels of formality. I’ve worked with many professionals preparing for important international assignments. My lessons combine cultural insight with precise language use. We rehearse real scenarios, from negotiations to ceremonial events. Students leave with tools for both clarity and persuasion. I aim to make you confident, adaptable, and culturally fluent. About the lesson

My teaching approach is all about putting French into action for real-life well-being. I help learners gain the language skills they need to care for themselves and communicate with confidence in health-related situations. We focus on vocabulary for symptoms, wellness routines, and visits to the doctor or pharmacy. I make sure you can ask for what you need and understand the answers you receive.

We’ll work with clear, practical dialogues and role-plays. You will learn to describe how you feel, explain your needs, and respond naturally in French. I use engaging activities to build fluency without stress. The goal is for you to speak comfortably and without hesitation.

I support learners who love to explore language deeply, as well as those who travel often and want to feel at ease in any health-related interaction abroad. Together, we’ll cover key expressions for emergencies, check-ups, and everyday self-care. We’ll also explore phrases for discussing exercise, nutrition, and healthy habits.

Lessons stay dynamic and interactive, mixing listening, speaking, and cultural insight. You’ll practice with real-world examples so you can act immediately in real situations.
