About Elizabeth
I am 21 years old and I have one more year left in my degree, next year I will start my honours year in which I will write a 20,000 word thesis on my chosen topic. If someone had told me that I was going to sign myself up for honours at the end of university I would’ve laughed but through persistence I have grown to love academia. I am a very friendly and bubbly person who gets along with everybody which makes teaching enjoyable.

I think it is important to understand the goals that the student wants to achieve throughout tutoring and focus the program around that. Each person learns differently so it’s important to understand what works best for each person. As a tutor I strive to find new ways to teach and engage in learning. It’s important that each lesson the student achieves a goal that helps build the skills needed to reach their overarching goal. As a tutor I believe I am here to be firm but also supportive.
