About Sylvia
I am a retired lady who likes to make learning fun! I have a Diploma and a Certificate from the TEFL Academy (Canada) and a diploma in Environmental Science plus 30 years of administrative experience. I have excellent knowledge of the English language and many friends from many countries! I love to interact with people from other countries and listen to their stories (encouraged to be told in English!)

I prefer in-person teaching but can use Zoom interactive online combined with in-person visits. I cover common conversation, etiquette (what to say), shopping, idioms (common sayings), Canadian culture and entertainment (jokes, musical lyrics, recreation), and proper business etiquette (how to apply for a job).
