My son had teacher Lalitha for 8 months to get him ready for an entry assessment. At the beginning of that 8th month, he couldn't differentiate the phonics sounds and alphabets as he was confused, he couldn't even remember numbers till 100. But after 2 months of her teaching him, he could differentiate them and then learnt how to read, reconstruct sentences and is able to count, and do 2 digit addition.
