About Rebecca

Hi, my name is Bec and I am turning 23. I moved to Melbourne almost 2 years ago, and have fallen in love with this place.

These days I am a bartender, but I am trying to get out of that lifestyle as the late nights are not doing it for me anymore.
The end goal would be to become a teacher, but I still need to transfer my French degree for that, so I figured I would do the closest thing.

I love to connect with people and always have with all ages. I traveled across the world which might have helped me with that. I love to learn and communicate, as I believe I wouldn't be the only one sharing my knowledge. My experience in hospitality has made me very patient as well, so you will never have to worry about the speed you are learning, or lack thereof, because everyone is different and I truly believe anyone can learn a new language.

About the lesson

A typical lesson with me would not exceep two hours, ideally an hour and a half. I believe seeing students regularly for shorter periods of time is a better way to learn when it comes to a new language. If the lesson drags out, it gets overwhelming and then isn't very productive in my experience.
I also like to focus more on getting to talk and trying to forget about mistakes if we are starting from scratch. We can perfect those mistakes later on, but getting to chat and learn vocabulary first is what will make people understand you, not having the perfect constructed sentence.
I have always tutored throughout my entire education, in high school as well as my degree. I tutored French people in English but mostly people moving to France from England especially to help them with their integration in France.
I can teach all levels and ages, as I have taught students as well as elderly peoplehaving bought a second home in France for instance.
