About Mila

I am a Biology tutor with over 4 years of experience and a MSc in Biotechnology. My passion lies in exploring the wonders of marine biology and the extraordinary ecosystems of the deep sea. I believe that teaching biology becomes most exciting when students can connect to the mysteries of the natural world. In my lessons, I bring the ocean’s hidden landscapes to life. From hydrothermal vents that sustain entire communities without sunlight to the dazzling spectacle of bioluminescence, I introduce students to phenomena that challenge our imagination. I also highlight the remarkable adaptations of organisms that survive under extreme pressure, cold, and darkness. Together, we explore the challenges and possibilities of deep-sea exploration, where science and curiosity meet in one of Earth’s final frontiers. Students learn not only about biodiversity but also about the complex ecological processes that sustain life in these environments. My approach combines clarity, enthusiasm, and evidence-based reasoning. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and appreciate how much of the ocean remains unexplored. This perspective helps them see biology as an evolving science full of discovery. I dedicate myself to making biology meaningful and inspiring, guiding each learner toward both academic success and a deeper appreciation of life’s diversity. Join me in a journey into the mysteries of the deep ocean, where every lesson reveals new wonders and untold stories of life beneath the waves.

My teaching approach in Biology emphasizes critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning. I believe that biology is best understood when we connect it to life’s bigger questions. Lessons go beyond memorization and focus on why processes occur and how evidence supports them. I bring in topics like evolutionary biology, natural selection, speciation, and phylogenetics to show how living systems adapt and diversify. These areas allow students to see biology as a dynamic science that explains the history of life. Each concept is explained step by step, using clear examples and simple language. I also integrate ideas from chemistry, drawing on food chemistry and green chemistry to highlight biology’s close ties with the molecular world. This approach helps students understand the interconnectedness of science. Whether it’s exploring DNA changes that drive evolution or the role of ecological pressures in shaping species, I guide students to reason carefully and think like scientists. Students are encouraged to ask questions, analyze data, and challenge assumptions. I provide a supportive environment where they can refine their skills and grow in confidence. Every lesson is designed to prepare them for exams, assignments, and deeper learning. Above all, I want students to appreciate life’s grand narrative. By understanding the diversity of life and the forces shaping it, they gain knowledge that extends far beyond the classroom. My role is to support them in excelling and to help them discover the excitement of exploring biology as a living, evolving science.
