Sarah tutored my autistic son from freshman year in high school until after graduation. She is like part of my family and loves my son like her own son. I am sure he graduated because of her, because of the lack of good schools and curriculum in the district her was in. Without her, he would have been left to just pass in grades he was not qualified to pass in and left lost in life without preparation for the real world, that schools have somehow lost sight of.
Sarah continued to teach him independence skills after high school. She helped him find an appropriate job for his personality, get his license and a bank account. Still, to this day, I believe she still remains in contact with him, even though she has left the state. She will always be someone I value in life. She is a blessing to anyone who welcomes her into their child's life. I'm so thankful for her. I don't know where my son would be, today, if he didn't have her.
