About Felix
A CELTA certified tutor with a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from University of Queensland; as a bilingual person myself, I understand how challenging it can be to learn another language. But fear not, I am super empathetic and have taught ESL students from diverse linguistic backgrounds so anything you are not sure how to say, I've got you! I love talking about a bunch of random topics from jobs/school, music, pop culture to linguistics and psychology - so hit me up if any of these things interest you! I have also worked with students to help prepare their IELTS exam, and I myself have achieved an overall 8.0 with speaking being 8.5 - if you are trying to improve your IELTS score, you've come to the right place!

My approach to speaking is a student-centered one where you will have plenty of opportunities to speak and I will help you with what you need, for example, building up vocabulary, grammar, or conveying your thoughts more clearly. I believe that the essence of learning a language is to be able to communicate with others so don't be afraid if you make mistakes; I'm here with you to help you achieve your goal on this learning journey. We can also work on other skill areas such as reading and writing - my 2 years in graduate school and training in CELTA are of great help to sharpening those skills.
