About Imelda
Hello! I’m a management consultant with over 10 years of experience working at top consulting firms, where I have helped organizations solve complex business problems and advised clients across industries. Throughout my career, I have also had the privilege of interviewing and mentoring aspiring consultants, helping them prepare for their first consulting roles and guiding them through the case interview process. I am passionate about sharing the knowledge I’ve gained from years of hands-on consulting experience. My teaching approach is practical, structured, and interactive — I don’t just explain frameworks; I work alongside you to apply them, think critically, and solve real business cases. My students learn not only how to approach cases strategically, but also how to communicate their solutions clearly and confidently — exactly what interviewers are looking for. I take pride in creating a supportive, professional learning environment where students can ask questions, practice actively, and gain the skills they need to succeed. Whether you choose virtual lessons or in-person sessions, my goal is to equip you with the tools, techniques, and insider insights that will help you land your first consulting role. I look forward to working with you and helping you take the next step toward your dream consulting career.

Case interviews are one of the toughest challenges for students aspiring to enter consulting, strategy, or competitive business roles. In this lesson, I introduce you to what a case interview really is, the different types of cases you might encounter (market sizing, profitability, operations, mergers & acquisitions, etc.), and what interviewers are actually looking for when they evaluate candidates. We’ll then dive into a live case study together — giving you hands-on practice in asking the right questions, structuring your thought process, and developing the problem-solving skills you need to stand out. At the end, you’ll take home additional practice materials so you can continue building your skills.
Teaching Method and Techniques
I use a highly interactive, step-by-step approach:
Begin with clear explanations of frameworks and expectations.
Move quickly into guided practice so you learn by doing.
Provide real-time feedback as you work through cases.
Share “insider tips” from my experience interviewing candidates so you understand not just what to say, but how to deliver it confidently.
The lesson plan is a three-part
