About Skye
I am a dedicated piano teacher with over 9 years of experience guiding students toward their musical goals. With a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Piano, I bring both professional training and real-world performance knowledge into every lesson. Over the years, I have helped students prepare successfully for graded music exams, college auditions, and even professional performance opportunities. I understand that each student has unique strengths and challenges, so I design personalized lesson plans that fit their needs. This approach ensures steady progress while keeping learning enjoyable. My lessons focus on building solid technique, strong musicality, and confidence in performance. At the same time, I encourage creativity, exploration, and a deeper connection to the music. I believe that motivation and enjoyment are just as important as discipline and practice. My teaching approach to piano lessons is based on helping each student grow steadily while enjoying the process of learning music. I design individual lesson plans that match the student’s pace, goals, and style. This allows every learner to feel comfortable, supported, and motivated.
I focus on building strong foundations in technique, rhythm, and musicality, while also encouraging creative exploration. Students are guided to not only play the notes but to express emotions through their music. I believe confidence grows when learners connect with the music they play.
Flexibility in genres is a big part of my lessons. From classical to jazz, pop, soul, funk, and R&B, I help students explore different styles and expand their skills. I also give space for improvisation and personal expression, making learning more enjoyable and inspiring.
Some students come with a deep love for music and a desire to master it, while others find piano a way to relax and heal. I support both journeys by offering patient guidance, encouragement, and techniques that match their needs.
Overall, my goal is to create a positive, enriching environment where students gain skills, confidence, and a lifelong passion for playing piano.
