About Suri

I am a violin tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education specializing in Strings – Violin. Throughout my career, I have successfully directed string ensembles, group violin classes, and youth orchestras. I take pride in my skills as a section leader, helping musicians improve ensemble dynamics and achieve precise group tuning. Working closely with schools, community centers, and chamber groups has given me a broad range of teaching and leadership experiences. I believe that strong team musicianship is the heart of any great ensemble. My approach focuses on fostering communication, collaboration, and mutual support among players. I enjoy guiding students to listen carefully and blend their sound with others. Ensemble playing is not only about individual skill but about growing together as a musical team. It brings a unique joy and deep connection that solo practice cannot match. My goal is to help every student experience this collective growth through music. I am passionate about nurturing both technical ability and a love for making music as part of a group. Together, we can create beautiful, expressive performances that inspire and uplift.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping students build strong violin skills step by step. I emphasize technique-building to ensure a solid foundation, including bow control, finger placement, and posture. Ear training is an important part of my lessons, helping students recognize pitch, tone, and rhythm clearly. I also guide students to develop performance confidence, so they can play comfortably in front of others.

Expressing emotions through music is key. I encourage students to connect with each piece and share their feelings through their playing. Alongside violin, I include training in music theory and sight-reading to strengthen overall musicianship. I support students who perform in various settings, including stage and worship, helping them improve their unique styles and reach their goals.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s level and interests. Whether a beginner or more advanced, I create a positive, patient, and encouraging learning environment. I believe every student can grow their passion and skills with the right guidance and practice. Together, we work on both technical mastery and artistic expression. My goal is to help each student excel and enjoy their musical journey fully.
