About Olivia
I am a guitar teacher with 10 years of experience, specializing in helping adult learners build confidence and creativity through music. I hold a Diploma of Music with a Guitar Specialization and have guided students of all ages to explore their musical potential. My teaching style is flexible and supportive, adapting lessons to each learner’s pace, goals, and interests. I focus on practical goal-setting, balancing technical skill-building with opportunities for self-expression, composition, improvisation, and performance. For ensemble or solo practice, I focus on timing, expression, and musical communication.
Students are encouraged to explore their own style, whether strumming around a campfire or diving into jazz improvisation. Each session is interactive and adaptable, using tools like visual aids, tactile feedback, and play-along tracks to enhance understanding. By combining technical practice with musical creativity, learners develop skill, independence, and confidence, while enjoying the process and preparing for performance.
