About Cleo
I have 7 years of experience tutoring chess to students of all ages—school kids, college learners, and working professionals. I enjoy helping each student discover their own way of thinking and strategy through the game. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in openings, tactics, and endgame skills. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, clear communication, and encouragement. I believe everyone can improve with the right guidance and practice. I tailor my lessons to fit each student’s goals, whether they want to compete or simply enjoy chess as a hobby. One of my proudest achievements is helping many students win local and school chess competitions. Watching my students grow in confidence and skill motivates me every day. I look forward to helping more learners unlock their full potential through chess.

In chess, I focus on fundamentals like openings, tactics, and endgame strategies, while also helping students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I use practical examples and real-game scenarios to make learning relevant and fun. Through regular practice and constructive feedback, I support students in improving their skills and enjoying the game.
Beyond chess, I am able to teach related subjects that complement logical thinking and strategy. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel motivated and capable. Together, we work toward steady progress, building skills and confidence that last.
