About Ritika
I’m a Chemistry tutor with a Master’s in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry and more than five years of teaching experience. My teaching focuses on forensic applications of chemistry, from drug analysis to toxicology and crime scene techniques. I take an interdisciplinary approach, weaving in elements of biology, law, and ethics. Students often work through simulated case files that mimic real-world investigations. These scenarios bring analytical instrumentation principles to life in a meaningful way. I want students to feel like investigators, not just learners. Ethical reasoning is always emphasized, because forensic science carries significant responsibility. I support students preparing for forensic science degrees, law enforcement roles, and related fields. My lessons balance technical detail with curiosity-driven exploration. Each student learns how to analyze data critically and communicate findings effectively. I enjoy watching students grow into confident problem-solvers. Ultimately, I see chemistry as both a science and a service. It helps us solve mysteries and contribute to a fairer world.

I approach teaching chemistry with structure, patience, and a focus on real understanding. Organic chemistry can feel overwhelming, so I break it down into clear steps. We start with basics like nomenclature and functional groups before exploring mechanisms and isomerism. Students see how each piece fits together like a puzzle. For Environmentalist and Marine Biologist learners, I show how these ideas connect to their studies and research. Feedback is a constant part of my lessons, helping students reflect and improve. I create a safe space to ask questions and test ideas. We don’t just rush to answers—we focus on the “why” behind them. This makes it easier to move into advanced topics like synthesis with confidence. My sessions encourage active learning and critical thinking. I see myself as a guide, walking alongside students as they grow. Step by step, they gain mastery of carbon chemistry. By the end, they’re ready to apply knowledge in both study and practice.
