About Ezra
I’m a piano teacher with over 8 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Piano Performance. I believe that music is not just something we play—it's something we feel. My teaching focuses on helping students build a strong foundation in technique and theory while learning to connect emotionally with each piece. Whether you're just starting out or returning to the piano after a break, I shape lessons around your goals and interests. I love watching students grow not only in skill but also in confidence and expression. We work on posture, finger strength, and reading music clearly, all while exploring the emotion behind every note. I introduce theory in a clear and simple way, helping students understand how music is built. From classical to contemporary, I choose repertoire that inspires and challenges. I encourage creativity through improvisation and musical storytelling. Every student has their own voice, and I help them find it at the keys. Lessons are supportive, structured, and filled with encouragement. I aim to make each session something students look forward to. Let’s discover the joy of music—one note at a time.

My piano teaching approach blends structure with creativity, helping each student grow with confidence and clarity. I tailor every lesson to the student’s goals, whether they’re preparing for ABRSM or Rockschool exams, building A-Level music skills, or learning just for fun. Technique, expression, and music theory are all taught hand-in-hand, so students understand not just how to play—but why the music works.
I use exercises that improve finger strength, hand coordination, and dynamic control. For students interested in jazz or pop styles, we explore improvisation, chord voicings, and rhythm-based playing. I also support students in writing their own music, using simple composition tools to unlock creativity.
Music history is woven into lessons to give context and deepen appreciation. I use a mix of classical pieces, contemporary songs, and personal favorites to keep lessons fresh and exciting. For exam learners, I provide focused practice plans and listening tips that match curriculum standards. For expressive players, we work on stage presence and interpretation.
