About Brooke

A Professional Mom and Dedicated Tutor! I am a professional mom who volunteers at my child’s school, tutors, and helps with homework for a bunch of amazing students. With an undergrad in psychology and seven years of experience in finance, I’ve always had a passion for education. I tutored my way through high school and university, even running my own tutoring business on the side! I've taught every subject you can imagine, and there's no length I won’t go to help you reach your goals. Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to advance to the next level, I’m here for you, with no judgment, just kindness and commitment. Our lessons are meant to be taken seriously, though I promise we’ll have fun! While I bring energy and a lighthearted approach (maybe even a dance or two!), I’ll ask that all necessary preparations—like eating and organizing materials—be done before our hour together. This keeps us accountable and makes the most of our time. I even taught two boys at home for a whole year, preparing them in every subject at two different year levels, before transitioning them into mainstream schooling at a higher level. I go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and supported, and that every lesson is tailored to YOU. Let’s make learning English (or any subject) a fun, engaging, and rewarding experience, one step at a time!

Your First Lesson is Always Free! Each lesson lasts 1 hour, giving us the perfect time to discuss your child’s goals and determine if we’re the right fit for achieving them together. As an advanced English speaker and someone currently writing my own books, I deeply understand the importance of mastering the language. Having taught my son to speak, read, and write English from a young age, I’m here to help your child excel in the same way. What I Specialize In Public Speaking & Orals: Build confidence and clear communication. Exam & Essay Preparation: Learn how to craft compelling essays and perform well in exams. Comprehension & Analysis: Master the art of understanding texts, from books to poetry. First Language English: I specialize in guiding students through the nuances of English, a skill that can be challenging even for native speakers. Learning English can be tough, especially as a first language, but it’s essential for success—not just in school, but in life. Together, we’ll enhance your child’s English skills, improve their grades, and prepare them for success in studies and beyond. Whether it’s catching up on homework, going back to basics, or tackling prescribed school books, orals, and assignments, each lesson will equip your child with skills for life. Let’s work together to make English easier and more enjoyable!
Conversational English for Adults (18+)

English is hard — but you don’t have to face it alone.

I offer practical, real-world English lessons designed for adults who want to feel confident in everyday life in New Zealand.

️ Everyday interactions: We practice in real settings — the mall, the street, cafés — so you can speak and understand English where it matters most.
️ Stress-free learning: I walk and talk with you in English, and you take notes on words or phrases you don’t understand. Ask me on the spot — no judgment.
️ Commitment matters: One hour a week isn’t enough. Lessons are active, longer, and supported with a little homework. With consistency, you will be “English ready.”
️ Confidence, not just grammar: You’ll learn how to get around, interact naturally, and finally feel at home in everyday situations.

For adults 18+ who want to build confidence and independence in English.

English Development for Kids (6–12)

Helping kids grow their English — beyond the classroom.

School teaches children how to speak English, but subjects can still feel overwhelming. That’s where I step in.

️ Interactive outings: Once a term, I take children on safe, guided trips — to parks, shops, museums — where we practice English naturally.
️ Build vocabulary & confidence: These experiences expand a child’s vocabulary and give them real-life confidence in new situations.
️ Personal support: I focus on each child, encouraging them to speak, listen, and interact in fun, relaxed environments.

For children aged 6–12 who already speak basic English but need help strengthening their vocabulary and comprehension.
Additional costs apply for outings.
