About Zoya

I am a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and hold a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Vocal Performance. I specialize in working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a break. Whether you’re singing in community choirs, karaoke, or casual social settings, I create a low-pressure, encouraging space where learning feels comfortable and fun. My teaching focuses on breathwork, vocal relaxation, posture, and mindfulness in music, all essential for developing a healthy and expressive voice. I also help students improve their tone and overall vocal presence. I teach a variety of genres, including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles. My passion lies in helping people discover singing as a form of self-care, creativity, and confidence. Each lesson is tailored to meet your individual needs, so you can progress at your own pace. Together, we build skills that make singing enjoyable and accessible for everyone. Whether you’re just starting out or coming back to singing after some time, I’m here to support your journey. About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on building strong vocal stamina essential for touring and regular performances. I emphasize managing vocal fatigue through practical techniques and routines tailored to each singer’s needs. Pre- and post-performance care is a key part of my methodology, helping students protect their voice before and after singing. Long-term vocal health is always at the forefront, as I guide singers to develop habits that sustain their careers over time.

I work well with The Soloist in Training and The Church Ensemble Player, providing personalized support to preserve their vocal instrument. Together, we practice exercises that strengthen endurance without strain. I also teach strategies to recognize early signs of fatigue and how to recover quickly. Maintaining a healthy voice is not just about technique—it’s about care and consistency.

My goal is to help singers protect their voices so they can perform confidently for years to come. You’ll learn to listen to your body and make smart choices that keep your instrument strong.
