About Audrey
Hello! My name is Audrey Ella, I'm 21 years old, and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to be your dance instructor! I'm currently a junior musical theatre student at William Jessup University, and I work as a dance instructor at Royal Stage Performing & Visual Arts and as a performing cast member for two character entertainment companies in the Sacramento area.
I've been training in dance ever since I was 13, and realized that I wanted to pursue a career in performing & visual arts when I was 16.
I've trained primarily in musical theatre dance, jazz, tap, acro, and ballet, with some contemporary, lyrical, and hip-hop sprinkled in. I'm also self-taught in K-Pop and burlesque styles of dance, learning from YouTube tutorials and repeatedly watching hours and hours of rehearsal/live performance videos and movies.
I'm extremely passionate about musicality, emotion, character, and personal flair in dance. I believe that allowing the music to unlock and come alive through your movements is crucial. I'm also a firm advocate for exploring sensuality through dance, as it's deepened my love for my body and what it's capable of, and it's helped me feel more proud and comfortable in my own skin!

When it comes to teaching, I believe in connecting with the learning styles/preferences of my students. Every person learns differently, and I think it's crucial for that to be recognized and respected in order for them to succeed! No matter what your learning style may be, I will be sure to tailor my lessons to meet you where you're at.
A typical lesson plan involves warming up, technique work (at the barre, across the floor, or center, depending on the style of dance), working on a specific dance routine, and cooling down.
Whether you want to take lessons recreationally, or whether you want to pursue dance on a more professional scale, I will customize and adapt your lessons to fit your personal goals.
