About Ollie

I understand what motivates people and their thought processes, and how this is underpinned by our physical make-up and our place amongst living organisms on this planet. Alongside this I have developed critical thinking and analytical skills to look at how different people interact with each other and the world around them. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of these subjects and I invite you to come on a journey of discovery with me. You will learn about yourself and develop your own excitement for these incredible subjects.

About the lesson

Through my own processes of learning, I understand how important it is to have a tutor who is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, supportive and well organised. I take pride in being all these things and will ensure that every student learns in the way that suits them best. I know that studying is a very individual process and I will motivate and help students understand this so that they develop skills that see them through their school years and into university, and become lifelong learners. I will encourage them to develop confidence in their skills and knowledge of their subject, to work consistently and at a high level. Because I am passionate about helping others learn, I began tutoring whilst at school - teaching maths to help students less fortunate than myself who had fallen behind during the pandemic. My lessons were supportive, accessible and productive and I was proud to receive wonderful reviews. I enjoyed teaching new concepts, sharing information, watching my students progress and grow in confidence, and ultimately achieve their goals.
