About Christopher
As a vocal coach with 8 years of experience and 150–200 students taught, I’ve made it my mission to help young singers embrace their voices, refine their technique, and perform with power and authenticity. My students range from high school beginners to college vocalists preparing for competitions and auditions. I tailor each lesson to the student’s musical style—pop, indie, classical, or R&B—and focus on foundational skills like breathing, pitch, articulation, and projection. What makes my teaching different is how I combine motivation with method. I use real-world case studies and relatable examples to make learning meaningful. We don’t just do scales—we work on songs you love and connect with. Singing should be a balance of structure and soul. A standout milestone was guiding a student through their first audition for a university music program—and hearing they got in. My approach to teaching singing is built on the power of experience. Instead of relying solely on traditional vocal drills, I integrate real-life examples and case studies to bridge the gap between theory and performance.
This means we look at actual performances—both successful and flawed—to dissect what works and what doesn’t. You’ll gain practical insights by analyzing the methods of real vocalists, from pop icons to classical legends.
Adaptability is a core principle in my teaching. Every student has a unique vocal texture, range, and learning rhythm. Whether you’re shy and just discovering your voice, or a performer wanting to expand your versatility, I design lessons that evolve with your goals. If one approach doesn’t work, we pivot until we find the method that fits you best.
Patience is the heart of the process. Vocal progress often comes in waves—some days will feel like breakthroughs, others may feel slower. My role is to provide steady guidance, encouragement, and honest feedback without pressure. I create a supportive environment where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, not failures.
Beyond singing, I also teach related subjects such as microphone technique, interpretation, and emotional delivery. By the end of our journey, students not only improve their technical ability but also gain the tools to communicate powerfully and authentically through song.
