About Ishani
As a singing tutor with 6+ years of experience and a BA in Ethnomusicology (Vocal Traditions), I bring deep passion to vocal harmony and creative arrangement. I specialise in helping singers create textured group pieces and multi-layered recordings using advanced harmony techniques. Vocal blending, arranging for ensembles, and producing vocal stacks are some of my favourite teaching areas. I work across styles like Pop, Gospel, A Capella, and R&B to offer a diverse vocal experience. Students learn how to develop counter-melodies, adapt songs, and arrange for various group sizes. I’ve taught high school vocalists, university students, and professional musicians looking to refine their sound. I bring a mix of history, creativity, and technical skill to every lesson. Improvisation and composition are woven into our sessions to encourage growth. We also work with recording tools and music software to shape your personal sound. Lessons are paced to match your goals and comfort level. Whether you're performing live or working on tracks at home, I’ll help you develop your vocal artistry. My teaching method prepares singers for real-world performance and audition success. Each lesson blends technique, storytelling, and mental preparation. We start by building healthy vocal habits and strong breath control. Then, we move into shaping musical phrasing, dynamics, and expressive delivery. I guide students through selecting songs that highlight their voice and suit the audition panel or stage environment. You’ll practice performing under mild pressure in lessons so you’re ready for the real thing. I introduce tools to manage nerves like visualisation and performance breathing. With Adult Beginners, I focus on comfort and joy in singing. With Advanced Teens, I work towards mastery and poise under pressure. My studio is a safe place to grow and take artistic risks. I coach stage presence, helping you find ease in movement and expression. You’ll feel more confident every time you rehearse. The goal is always clear, moving performances with technical strength. You’ll be more than ready—you’ll be unforgettable.
