About Niamh
I am currently having a gap year before going to university in London to study Politics, Philosophy and Law.
I am very interested in history, politics, philosophy, law and sociology. I have tutored classmates in the past - most recently during A-Levels when the COVID-19 pandemic hugely disrupted learning.

I finished my A-Levels this past summer and achieved an A* in history and sociology and an A in philosophy and the EPQ.
Having completed my A-Levels so recently, I am very comfortable with the question structures of short answer and long answer questions in sociology and philosophy and with both source questions and plain essay questions in history. I am familiar with the mark schemes for all subjects and can explain what examiners are looking for. I am also able to explain syllabus content.
My typical style of teaching is to start with structure and mark schemes to understand what exactly the exam board want the students to pull from the syllabus content and what angle to come from when approaching content. I then move on to knowledge work - understanding the general ideas and then working on using evidence and examples to expand our understanding of the knowledge.
