About Lisa

I have a literary baccalaureate and I write short stories and novels. I am currently a student in the second year of a Bachelor's degree in Language Sciences and I have already given spelling and conjugation lessons to relatives (family and friends). For the correction of written texts such as cover letters, CVs, comments, dissertations, etc. I am often asked to do it. Indeed, I obtained a certification in spelling with the Voltaire Project, which allows me to have a certain ease in writing. Recently, I gave private French lessons to two foreign adults. In just a few lessons, they gained the confidence to express themselves orally, write and read in French.

About the lesson

To improve in French, I recommend first of all regular reading whether it is a newspaper, a magazine, short stories, novels, poems, etc. It will allow us to reinforce our syntax, to learn new words, to express ourselves better and therefore to reinforce our grammar, although we must know the rules. Out loud, we can, thanks to reading, improve our diction and promote speaking. Concerning spelling, I propose dictation and grouped rules (ex: agreements of the plural, the feminine, the invariables, homonyms...) through various exercises. For the conjugation, it is a question of by heart but also of perception in time. I illustrate it with examples and diagrams to help me. By acquiring the rules gradually and maintaining them, practicing regular reading and practicing dictation, writing will be easier. I set up group exercises to start, then the exercises will be more complex because I associate the grammar and conjugation side for a single exercise for example. Finally, when I see that my student is beginning to be more comfortable with the proposed exercises, I begin to ask him to write different types of more or less long text. It can be letters, corpuses, short stories, dissertations, text comments, invention writings, etc. It is important for me to alternate rigorous but also playful exercises because as with learning anything, it can end up being redundant and therefore discouraging if you don't vary your teaching. I would add that the exercises that I will propose will be adapted to the level and abilities of the student. I will adapt to his rhythm. There is no point in running, you must first master the basics and be comfortable with them before going deeper and going into the complex of our beautiful language!

If afterwards you wish to have more hours of lessons, here is the decreasing rate that I propose:
For 5 hours: €85 (i.e. €17 per hour)
