About Jaime

I have been working with grassroots and non-traditional education throughout my adult life, centered around social justice issues, all culminating in the radio show that I created, hosted and produced for nearly 4 years. The radio show was a public educational endeavor.

Below you can find details on my experience:

Presented topics accessibly to a diverse rural community with listener engagement through call-ins & events.
Hosted live guests and conducted interviews with community members and leaders including formerly incarcerated community leader Jhil Marquantte and W. Kamau Bell of CNN, host of docu-series United Shades of America.
Created talkitoutradio.media, currently maintained for outreach & engagement; live streamed & archived episodes, fact sources, edited interviews and content.

I base my teaching method on the individual student and their needs, goals, and any potential obstacles. Through connection, encouragement and humor, I work out a lesson plan that will assess our learning goals and react to the particular learning style of each student. As we move through our lessons, we will continually assess progress and improvement and adapt lessons as necessary along the way.
