About Kavya
As a vocal coach with 6+ years of experience and a BM in Choral Conducting, I specialise in training singers for studio success. My background allows me to blend classical vocal technique with modern music production needs. I focus on R&B, Pop, and Electronic music styles. Lessons include microphone handling, vocal control for compression and effects, and layering harmonies. You'll also learn how to work with producers and shape your sound in a professional studio setting. I help students prep for demo recordings, independent releases, and collaborative sessions. Many of my students are emerging artists, teens building portfolios, and adults preparing for the studio. I also teach how to protect your voice during long takes and manage studio anxiety. My teaching method focuses on making your voice more agile, accurate, and expressive. I work closely with singers to master vocal embellishments like riffs, melismas, and intricate runs. We begin with small exercises to train your vocal coordination and ear. I use scales, intervals, and rhythmic drills to help you feel confident in movement and tone. Each lesson is adapted to your vocal range and stylistic goals. For singers in acoustic or traditional settings, I show how to blend runs into ensemble sound without overpowering it. I also teach phrasing and breath control to support long, flowing passages. We study both notated and improvised runs. I use a step-by-step process that helps you unlock each passage gradually. Lessons are musical and goal-driven, with consistent feedback to track progress. I support singers through technical hurdles while keeping artistry at the centre. You’ll find your voice moving more freely, even in the most complex sections. The end goal is effortless, expressive performance.
