My eight years as a guitar instructor have shown me the importance of understanding each student's unique musical aspirations and learning style. For the past eight years, I've been dedicated to guiding over 300 students on their guitar-playing journeys. My approach is built on the principle that learning should be both effective and enjoyable. I tailor my lessons to each student's individual goals, whether they aspire to play their favorite songs, compose original music, or perform on stage. I emphasize the importance of developing a solid rhythmic foundation, as a strong sense of timing is crucial for playing in any style. I also focus on building strong technical skills, including fingerstyle techniques, flatpicking, and slide guitar (if desired). Beyond technique, I encourage students to explore different musical genres, broadening their musical horizons and inspiring their creativity. For those interested in performing, I offer practical advice on stage presence, dealing with performance anxiety, and interacting with an audience. My greatest reward is witnessing my students' growth in confidence and musical expression as they develop their skills and pursue their musical passions.
