About Marita
I completed an honours arts degree in Music & Politics from UCD in 2000; gained a Piano Teaching Proficiency certificate from the Leinster School of Music in 2006; and a diploma in Singing Performance from the ABRSM in 2022. I recorded and released an album of original songs in 2012 which received national radio airplay. I have performed solo and in ensembles in Ireland and England in both formal and casual settings. This variety of experience allows me to prepare students for whatever their goals may be: whether it is to play alone for pleasure at home, prepare for a graded exam, or perform to hundreds of people at a concert. I have met and worked with many families over my teaching career, and I use a sensitive and encouraging approach with all of my students.

I have over 20 years' experience teaching children and adults of various levels and abilities. I know how to tailor a lesson to the individual's abilities and goals. I have a friendly and sensitive approach and strive to build my student's confidence in their playing. The ultimate goal is to make my students self-sufficient and to foster an enduring love of music.

Details
Prospective students are welcome to book one trial lesson. After this, lessons are grouped into terms of approximately 10 weeks each. Students are invoiced at the start of each term, and pay for the term in full. A complete list of terms and conditions is available upon invoicing.
